Hi friends, welcome back to the podcast. I am your host, Christina Crosby, and this is Mortgage Marketing Made Simple. I'm so glad you're here. Get ready to take some notes. This is a jam-packed episode, and I don't want you to miss anything. We're going to do a spring check-in. We are heading into one of the busiest seasons in our industry, and instead of overcomplicating everything today and in this season, I want to bring you back to the basics. Because the brokers who win this spring, they're not doing more. They're doing the right things consistently. So today I want to walk you through exactly what I would focus on if I was tightening things up heading in to our busy spring market. Actually, before we even get into strategy, I just want to take, I want you to take a second and ask yourself, am I overthinking things right now? Am I overthinking this right now? Am I trying to do too many things? Because all of the time I see this. And your pipeline feels quiet. So you start thinking, I need a new strategy. No, you absolutely do not need a new strategy. You need to come back to the basics. I want you to think about that. You need to come back to the basics. Right now, Facebook is having its moment. And I know it's not the cool platform, but that is where your clients are. That is where your clients are hanging out, spending their time. Your past clients are there. Your referral partners are also there. Your community is there. So instead of trying to be everywhere, pick one platform. For most of us, that's Facebook. And I want you to focus on posting consistently, showing up as you, talking about real situations your clients are in. Not perfect content. Don't worry about trending audios, just real helpful content. Okay, think about that. And here's the part that most people skip engagement. Engagement is not just liking posts, it's commenting, actually starting conversations. It's about connecting. And this is where the files come from. And I want to give you something super simple to do this week. And I want you to try it out this week and implement it forever. So instead of just writing happy birthday on someone's wall or feed, I want you to send them a DM and say something like, hey, happy birthday. What do you have going on to celebrate? Um, and take it one step further. Ask them questions, keep that conversation going. What are some goals you want to accomplish this year? Do you see the difference? You're going from surface level to an actual conversation. And that is how relationships are built. That is how people start thinking of you when they need a mortgage. That's your visibility. It helps you stay top of mind. And the ripple effect is huge. Next, I want you to pick one file type, just one. For me, I focus on refinances. You could do first-time home buyers, refinances, renewals. Because when you try to talk to everyone, you end up connecting with no one. But when you speak directly to one person, everything changes. Your content gets clearer, your messages get stronger, and your audience starts paying attention. I know that can seem hard, but focus on just posting on that one file type. And I'm also gonna say something maybe that you don't want to hear. I hear feedback on this all the time, but I'm right. You need to be emailing your clients every single week. Every week. Because if you're not, someone else is. And it doesn't have to be complicated. You're not writing a newsletter. Please don't write a newsletter. You're just staying in touch. You're reminding them, I'm here to help. And I know what I'm doing, and I know what's going on. That's it. And the brokers who do this email their lists, their database every single week, they're getting the replies. Hey, I've been meaning to reach out. Okay, please trust me on this, and you're not bothering them. So if I was simplifying everything headed into spring, this is what I would do. One platform, one file type, weekly emails, daily engagement, that is it. It's so simple, but so powerful. And if you actually commit to this, say for the next two months, you are going to see a huge difference. And I'm just gonna go over this again.
